And Then There Were Four

Here are some of the first photo of our new arrival. Our son was born at 11:58 pm on Sunday November 25th after a fast and easy labour and delivery.
His name is McKinley Jack Adkins and he weighed 8 lbs, 2 oz and was just under 21 inches. So he is shorter and heavier than his sister when she arrived which may help him defend himself from her in the future. Avery is very excited by the arrival of her brother and so far she is busy showering him with love and kisses. He is a very chilled out baby so far and is nursing like a champion and sleeping lots. (He knows how to get his mother to fall in love with him quickly.) I am feeling great and we were all home from the hospital by lunchtime on Monday so that has been nice.
We are home for the next little while so feel free to call or stop by.

Avery's New Bedroom

So we got the bedroom finished this weekend thanks to some help from Avery's Fairy Great Aunties Marg & Sandi. Avery had her first night of sleep in her 'new big girl room' this past Sunday and so far the transition has been pretty seemless. We were really happy with how our map mural turned out. Avery is going ace Geography once she starts school.
No signs of Baby #2 yet. Craig is anxious for it to arrive any day and I am more than happy to wait until my due date because I still have a few things I want to get done first. Overall we are ready anytime and we will keep you posted.

A Nice Fall Day

Here is Avery in an outfit I picked up last year at the One of a Kind Christmas Craft Sale last year. This past weekend was perfect weather for her to run around in her fleece poncho. At first she wasn't sure if she liked it but before long she loved and even got upset when I tried to take it off inside because she was getting too hot. Baby #2 is inconveniently due the second weekend of the One of a Kind sale so I guess I have to skip it this year. That means twice as much shopping next year!

Happy Halloween

Well Avery though Halloween was a great idea. She was a dragon when she went to daycare in the morning but her zipper broke so she was a witch at night. She will still occasionally say "Trick or treat" or 'Happy Halloween" for no apparant reason.
