Sprinklers are Fun

Here are Avery and Callum enjoying washing off the remnant of their ice cream cones in the sprinkler. We were killing ourselves laughing while we were watching. I would like to mention that the photo credits on this series go to my sister Meghan.

Avery and Megan Reunited

My friend Amy and I, who spent several days a week together during our maternity leaves, finally managed to find some time to get the girls together again. It was great fun. We had supper, went to the park, got some ice cream and then headed back home for a bath and jumping on the bed. The photos show highlights from the last 2 activities.

Stever D's Cottage

Here we are at our friend Steve's cottage up at 6 mile lake. Avery had a great time with all the other kids there and I think she was even enjoying the dog by the end of the weekend. She was pretty brave on the big water slide and was completely crazy in the water as usual. One of the highlights was when she was stripped naked after a swim and crouched down playing with something then looked over at me and said 'Poo' and then proceed to drop a couple of nuggets on the lawn. Thank god they were hard and easy to clean up. Isn't parenting glamourous?

Our Fabulous Camping Weekend Part 1

We had a fantastic weekend camping with Aunties Marg and Sandi on an island off from Parry Sound over the Canada Weekend. The weather was cool and Avery ended up getting a bit sick but that did not prevent us from having a great time. Avery handled being outdoors well even though the terrain was a bit uneven and resulted in a few scrapes and bumps. She loved throwing rocks in the water, collecting firewood, feeding the birds, eating popsicles, reading I Spy books, walking around the island, bathing in a Rubbermaid tote and sleeping in the tent.
Marg and Sandi served up some fabulous meals and claim they enjoyed having us on the island and would invite us back to visit again. We look forward to it.
