I am not quite sure how it happened but we ended up making masks for Avery and Muddy and they were a big hit.

Avery's Family Birthday Party

Avery had a never ending birthday party with the Adkins family over to celebrate on the Saturday before, her friend party on the Sunday and gifts from Mom & Dad on the actual day. She, of course loved every minute of it. She requested a My Little Pony Birthday cake but after Craig could not find one for rent in 3 different stores she was still thrilled with Ariel as choise # 2.

Treats of the Week

I am sure Cam and Craig are very proud to see their girls all tarted up. Thank heavens that Ella and McKinley are a bit more conservative.

Dress up time

We had a nice visit from Kelly and the girls after Christmas. They had a great time dressing up in Avery's new dress up outfits. The slightly disturbing thing was that Avery and Molly thought it would be better if they took their regular clothes off first. Kelly and I have no idea how they learn to pose in such a grown up way. Too bad there is no audio otherwise then you could appreciate the added effect of Molly's new accent she has acquired and that Avery was trying to imitate. Hilarious.

Grandma & Grandpa Adkins bought everyone Olympic gear so here are a few shots of everyone looking patriotic in their new duds.

Christmas Morning

I realize that I have already posted some New Year's Photos but I just noticed these Christmas photos I missed so I thought I would catch up. This is the kids standing at the top of the stairs waiting to come down and see what Santa brought them. Craig's parents spent the night with us so they got see the Christmas morning excitement.

Good times at the Lake House

It was great weather when we were there, lots of packing snow so we made the most of it.

McKinley had some trouble moving around in the snow and got a little grumpy but Avery thought it was great.

New Year's Weekend

For New Year's we headed up to my parent's house with our friends Tom & Catherine and Jason & Suzanne and their 2 kids Ethan and Eva. We had a lovely weekend and celebrated New Year's Eve with hats, horns, kids cocktails, sparklers and a dance party. Then we sent the kids off to bed and had a nice relaxing evening introducing Jason and Suzanne to the joys of Settler's of Catan.

Christmas continues

Thanks to a gentle reminder from my colleague Melissa I am trying to get the blog back on track. I have been busy trying to get some of my new technology up and running and that process is ongoing but in the meantime I will try to catch up with some the great photos that are sitting on my computer. Here the kids are enjoying the great present that Marg and Sandi got for Maren. Poor Maren had to wait her turn while the Adkins kids did lots of jumping.

McGuire Christmas

We celebrated my family Christmas on the 1st weekend of December as Mom & Dad are heading out to Vancouver to be there when Meghan & Mark's baby arrives. The kids had a great weekend and loved their (and each other's) gifts.
