Beach Goddess

Well the first day she couldn't walk 2 steps on the beach without falling but after a couple of day she was an old pro. She loved playing in the sand and walking in the ocean. I still can't get enough of the bathing suit her Aunt Brianna bought her. It is fantastic.

Avery Enjoys the Playground

There was a great playground right by the pier on Clearwater Beach and Avery had a great time playing on that.

The first Florida Shots

Hi Everyone,
We are back from Clearwater Beach where Avery had a fabulous time swimming. I am in the process of adding a video of her swimming so be sure to check it out. We had a lovely time and as you can see from the photos, Avery really enjoyed the pool.

I love my Cousins

We had Nolan and Wyatt overnight a couple of weekends ago and Avery thought she was in heaven. Her new favourite word is Wyatt and she says it about 100 times a day.

It is a good thing it is warm outside otherwise she would be soaking wet and freezing cold.

She continues to be adventurous. I am starting to get pretty convinced it is only a matter of time before she gets her first head injury.

Where she gets her good looks from

So here are 4 generations of women in my family starting with my Grandma Beth, followed by her daughter - Avery's Grandma Karen, followed by her daughter - me, followed by the star of this blog Avery.
My mom sent me this photo of Avery and it is one of my favourites so far.

I'm Too Sexy For My PJ's

Another example of me being a bad mother. I put these pajamas on her and then totally cracked up laughing because they were too small. Her lovely, big belly was significantly protruding out below. Then I combed her hair to the side and the entire effect had me laughing enough that I went downstairs to grab the camera and capture the look.
I am sure she will be mortified when she grows up.

The last birthday photos

This series could also be called Avery and the decapitated duck. She was a bit tentative at first but it did not take long before she started enjoying her first cake.
I decided to make the duck cake for 2 reasons. 1) it was her best animal sound at the time and 2) I already owned the pan.
Practical wins in the end.
